Room to Wonder: no door can keep him out.

Have you ever stood at the water’s edge, watching the light dance across the surface, only to discover that stepping in changes everything? This image illuminates the Easter story, where the disciples huddle behind locked doors—fearful, uncertain, with Thomas demanding proof before believing. Yet Jesus appears among them anyway, bearing the wounds that become not barriers but invitations to encounter.

Resurrection isn’t merely something we observe from the sidelines but a reality we’re called to step into completely, like moving from the safety of the jetty into the surrounding waters. The pastor emphasises that our church creates “Room to Wonder”—a space where honest questions and authentic doubts are welcomed without pretence.

Drawing from Acts, the early Christians didn’t just believe in resurrection; they organised their entire lives around it, creating a community so compelling that others were naturally drawn in. This Easter season challenges us to move beyond intellectual acceptance to full immersion in resurrection life. Will you remain safely watching from the edge, or will you accept Christ’s invitation to step fully into the transformative reality that has already broken through every locked door of fear and doubt?
